Ancient Greek Modern day Fable

Inspired by the magic of Greek myths, Gods &  goddesses Jean studied ancient Greek Philosophy and Mythology at University and wrote her epic tale of a hero “A Myth of Lost Love”. A philosophical Immortal Dalmatian called Benson, with emotional intuitiveness narrates his story. He is our hero, Zeus, who must go through a transformation to save the lives of his family the Olympians. Abandoned at birth, he travels through time with his Goddess of Memory Mnemosyne, and their muses, in search of lost love and a new Golden Age. On his new Mount Olympus, in the twenty-first century, off Vancouver Island, he meets Saint Leonard a high priest of erotic romanticism in his Tower of Song, who teaches our hero about love.

The muses entered Jean’s life at an early age in Winnipeg where she sang, danced, and performed in an orchestra. As an artist and sculptor, she lived in Australia on the Great Barrier Reef with her husband John and Dalmatian Quin, her creative muse. In Vancouver she was guided by her muses – the Dalmatians Morgan and Riley. Having a long career in marketing management she found inspiration in nature in Victoria on idyllic Vancouver Island. She designed and landscaped a Japanese forested garden that is a central part of her novel. She painted their portraits for her novel.  ‘Mothers Love’ will be Jean’s next novel narrated by Princess Sophie her Dalmatian.
